Chapter 10 - The Horizon Ahead

One year later.
The sun rose warmly over Manhattan.
Inside the terminal at JFK, a brand-new ultra-luxury long-range private jet sat on the tarmac, gleaming in pristine white paint with a subtle, elegant gold crest on its tail.
The crew stood at attention near the boarding stairs. Captain Miller held a tablet, reviewing the flight plan for a global tech conference in Tokyo.
A car pulled up near the stairs.
I stepped out, dressed in a sharp ivory suit, holding my briefcase.
"Good morning, Ms. Vance," Captain Miller bowed respectfully. "The aircraft is prepped, the engineering team is already on board, and your seat is ready."
"Thank you, Captain," I said with a warm smile.
I walked up the stairs and stepped into the cabin. The space was light, airy, and beautifully designed with state-of-the-art technology.
Sitting in the primary executive seat was Daniel, working on a laptop, alongside two brilliant young engineers whom my foundation had mentored over the past year.
"Good morning, Alyssa," Daniel said, standing up politely. "We’ve finalized the acquisition of the European quantum computing network. Everything is on schedule."
"Excellent," I replied, taking my seat at the front of the cabin—the seat that had always belonged to me, by right of mind, strength, and legacy.
As the jet engines roared to life and the plane smoothly lifted off the runway into the vast, open sky, I looked out the window at the city below.

Aaron Prescott was somewhere down there, living in the shadows of a past he had destroyed with his own arrogance.
And up here, high above the clouds, I was flying into a future I had built with my own hands. Unstoppable, unyielding, and forever free.
